摘要 A polymerizable composition is provided to produce linear poly[(nonpolar olefin)-(polar olefin)] containing substantially little free radical addition polymer even without using an optional purification step. A polymerizable composition includes (A) a catalyst composition comprising an organometallic composite, (B) a nonpolar olefin, (C) a polar olefin monomer, and (D) a free radical scavenger. The organometallic composite comprises a metal center(M) complexed with at least one ligand, wherein the at least one ligand has a structure of the following formula III. The catalyst composition produces linear poly[(nonpolar olefin)-(polar olefin)] comprising acyclic aliphatic olefin monomer and polar monomer as polymerization units by coordination addition polymerization of the acyclic aliphatic olefin monomer and polar monomer. The linear poly[(nonpolar olefin)-(polar olefin)] has 0.0-15 branched components per 1,000 carbon atoms, as determined by carbon 13 NMR of the copolymer. The free radical scavenger is present in a sufficient amount to suppress the formation of free radical polymers so as to form 0.0-1.0wt% of the free radical polymers, based on the weight of the linear poly[(non-polar olefin)-(polar olefin)].
