A transparent electrode for solar cell and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to obtain high performance by improving quality and efficiency thereof. A transparent electrode for solar cell includes a light-transmitting base(10), a first polycrystalline transparent metal oxide layer(20) formed on one surface of the light-transmitting base, a metal layer(30) formed on an upper surface of the first polycrystalline transparent metal oxide layer, and a second polycrystalline transparent metal oxide layer(40) formed on an upper surface of the metal layer. The metal layer includes one or more elements selected from a group including Ag, Pt, Au, and Cu. The transparent metal layer is an ITO(Indium-Tin-Oxide) or an FTO(Fluorine-Tin-Oxide).
