A photosensitive laminate manufacturing apparatus and a method are provided to avoid interference between a substrate and a cutting unit by judging whether a long photosensitive web is disposed at the predetermined position of the cutting unit or not, and controlling the cutting unit on the basis of the judgment result. In a photosensitive laminate manufacturing apparatus(20), a long photosensitive web(22) comprising a photosensitive material layer and a protection film(30) laminated on a support in order is delivered. Processed parts corresponding to the position of a boundary between a separated part and a residual part of the protection film are formed on a part formed from the protection film to the photosensitive material layer. The separated part of the protection film is peeled, and then substrates(24) supplied at regular intervals and the long photosensitive web are continuously delivered to a gap between press rollers(80a,80b). The residual part of the protection film is disposed between the substrates. The exposed photosensitive material layer is attached to the substrate. And then, the long photosensitive web is cut and separated between the substrates. A measuring unit(94) is separated from the cutting unit toward the lower side of a photosensitive laminate delivery direction at the predetermined distance. The measuring unit measures the position of a corner portion of the substrate. A control unit controls the cutting unit on the basis of the position of the corner portion detected by the measuring unit.
