INTERNET PROTOCOL PACKET RE-TRANSPORTING METHOD FOR DIGITAL MULTIMEDIA BROADCASTING SERVICE

A method for retransmitting an IP(Internet Protocol) packet of a terrestrial DMB(Digital Multimedia Broadcasting) service is provided to remove a PES packetization and MPEG-2 TS multiplexer, load and transmit video, audio and data signals in respective RTS packets, and extract OCR(Object Clock Reference) to synchronize a system clock so as to be used in buffer control. A transmission-side device encodes video, audio, and data information of a DMB service by an MPEG-4(Moving Picture Experts Group 4) type, encapsulates the encoded information by an MPEG-4 SL(Synchronization Layer), loads the encapsulated information together with PSI(Program Specific Information) on a packet of an RTP/RTCP(Real time Transport Protocol/RTP Control Protocol) type, and transmits the packet. A reception-side device receives the respective packets from the transmission-side device, decapsulates the received packets according to the RTP/RTCP type, performs the MPEG-4 SL decapsulation of the decapsulated information, decodes the decapsulated information, and recovers original video, audio, data information of the DMB service.
