A contact combustion type gas sensor with a thermistor is provided to measure gas of extremely high or low density by performing measurement at higher and lower temperatures. A combustion mode gas sensor includes a thermistor(30), a detection electrode(40), a contact combustion part(20), and a heater(10). The thermistor is adhered to surround the detection electrode. The detection electrode detects resistance of the thermistor. The contact combustion part is adhered to the upper part of the thermistor, surrounding the thermistor. The heater is coil-shaped and is interposed between the thermistor and the contact combustion part.
