A portable terminal is provided to enable a battery to be mounted to a cover portion, thereby reducing the thickness of the portable terminal. A portable terminal(200) includes a body portion(202), a cover portion(204), and a first battery(206). The body portion has a main PCB(Printed Circuit Board)(210). The cover portion is coupled to the body portion and has a sub PCB(222). The first battery is mounted to the rear end of the cover portion. The portable terminal is a slide type. A height of an end portion of the cover portion is higher than that of the other end portion. The first battery is mounted to the higher end portion of the cover portion.
