LOCATION INFORMATION PROVIDING SYSTEM USING SMS AND METHOD FOR THE SAME

A location information supply system using an SMS(Short Message Service) and a method therefor are provided to offer location information to a tracking terminal through an SMS center without passing through a location server, by loading the information on an SMS signal, thereby eliminating loads of a network and the server. An SMS receiver(11) receives SMSs transmitted from a tracked mobile communication terminal when a tracking mobile communication terminal(10) demands location information of the tracked terminal to a location server. An SMS analyzer(12) separates an SMS including the location information of the tracked terminal from the SMSs received by the SMS receiver. A location information extractor(13) extracts the location information of the tracked terminal from the separated SMS. A location information utilizer(14) generates map information and address information corresponding to the extracted location information.
