A microlens array sheet, a manufacturing method thereof, a backlight unit having the microlens array sheet, and a liquid crystal display device having the backlight unit are provided to uniformly diffuse and focus incident beams by uniformly refracting the incident beam. A microlens array sheet includes a base sheet(110) and a microlens(120). The base sheet passes an incident beam, which is received from outside. The microlens is formed to have an engraved semi-spherical surface on one surface of the base sheet. The microlens refracts and passes the light through the semi-spherical surface. The microlenses are uniformly arranged. A bottom surface of the microlens has one of circular, elliptic, and polygonal shapes. An overall area of the bottom surface of the microlens takes 70 ~ 100 % the size of one surface of the base sheet.
