PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a measuring instrument capable of transmission-illuminating a display design in a visual observation side of a pointer of a pointer instrument to be visually observed, while using effectively a space. SOLUTION: This measuring instrument 1 is provided with the first pointer instrument 2 having the first dial 21 and the first pointer 22 turned along a front face of the first dial 21, the second pointer instrument 3 having the second dial 31 and the second pointer 32, a translucent display panel 7 formed with the first display design 71, the first light source 81 for transmission-illuminating the first display design 71 from a back side, and a light guide means 9 for guiding light emitted from the first light source 81 to the first display design 71, the light guide means 9 is constituted of an illumination part 91 for guiding the light emitted from the first light source 81 to the first display design 71 from the back side, and a light guide part 92 for guiding the light emitted from the first light source 81 to the illumination part 91, a portion formed with the first display design 71 in the translucent display panel 7 is arranged in the visual observation side of the first pointer 22 in a turning center side of the first pointer 22, and the light guide part 92 is arranged in a back side of the second dial 31.
