The method involves receiving an input message from a communication network (220) using a reception unit, where the message is processed by a CPU (203) of a receiver device (200) or an audio-video source device along a communication protocol and marks the beginning of a process. A set of instructions is verified using an integrity verification unit in a case of reception of abort indication of the process by the CPU using a checksum controller (230), where the set of instructions is implemented by the CPU for the execution of the communication protocol.
