The method involves encrypting a data structure by an encryption key, where the encryption key is associated with a decryption key. Identity of a user of a mobile telecommunication terminal is detected, and the encrypted data structure is decrypted by utilizing the decryption key of the detected user if the detected user corresponds to a particular user. A home screen personalized on a screen of the terminal is displayed by utilizing parameters of the decrypted data structure. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a device for activating a home screen of a mobile telecommunication terminal (2) a computer program product comprising instructions to perform a method for activating a home screen of a mobile telecommunication terminal (3) a management server for managing a home screen of a mobile telecommunication terminal (4) a subscriber card of a mobile telecommunication terminal comprising storage units.
