A method for mounting a grinding wheel is provided to prevent a grindstone or an inner part of a grinding device from being damaged when the grinding wheel is attached to a wheel mount. A grinding unit(1) includes a chuck table(2), a grinding unit(3), and a grinding unit driver(4). The chuck table rotates and moves in a horizontal direction. The grinding unit grinds a workpiece(W) sustained on the chuck table. The grinding unit driver drives the grinding unit. The grinding unit driver drives in a vertical direction. The grinding unit driver includes a pair of guide rails(41), a pulse motor(43), and a supporter(44). The guide rail is provided perpendicularly to a wall part(40). The pulse motor is connected to one end of a ball screw(42). The support is screwed with the ball screw. |
