BIOLOGICAL TREATMENT APPARATUS AND BIOLOGICAL TREATMENT PROCESS OF AQUEOUS ORGANIC WASTES

An apparatus for biological treatment of water containing organic matters is provided to miniaturize treatment tanks and reduce the volume of sludge at the same time, and prevent quality of treated water from deteriorating by improving the treatment flow of the entire activated sludge process, and a method for biological treatment of water containing organic matters using the apparatus is provided. An apparatus(1) for biological treatment of water containing organic matters comprises: a first biological treatment tank(11) into which water containing organic matters is introduced to carry out an aerobic treatment; a first air dissolved flotation system(21) as a first solid/liquid separating unit into which a first treated liquid discharged from the first biological treatment tank is introduced to separate liquid and sludge from the first treated liquid; a second biological treatment tank(12) into which the separated liquid is introduced to carry out an aerobic treatment; a second air dissolved flotation system(22) as a second solid/liquid separating unit into which a second treated liquid discharged from the second biological treatment tank is introduced to separate liquid and sludge from the second treated liquid; and a volume reduction unit(40) for biologically reducing the volume of the separated sludge.
