Composition (I) for coloring human keratinous fibers, comprises at least a cationic azo compound (a) and at least a heterocyclic base comprising substituted 4-amino-1,2-dihydro-pyrazolone compound (b) or substituted pyrazol-4-ylamine compound (c). Composition (I) for coloring human keratinous fibers, comprises at least a cationic azo compound of formula (a) and at least a heterocyclic base comprising substituted 4-amino-1,2-dihydro-pyrazolone compound of formula (b) or substituted pyrazol-4-ylamine compound of formula (c). A : 3H-imidazol-1-ium group of formula (aa) or pyridinium group of formula (bb); R1, R21-4C alkyl, preferably methyl; and X : anion group.
