The storage device has a cylindrical farmyard manure container (1) and a covering (3) with a tarpaulin (4), which is suspendably attached at the container or is floatably fitted on accommodated farmyard manure in the container. A floatable ring body (7) i.e. welded tube, is concentrically placed in the tarpaulin, where a radius of the ring body is smaller than an inner radius of the container. The ring body consists of tubular segments with flanges, which are connected pair wise using screws. The tarpaulin comprises a loop (11) at circumference for retaining the ring body.
