A : 3H-imidazol-1-ium group of formula (aa) or pyridinium group of formula (bb); R 1, R 21-4C (preferably 1-2C) alkyl, preferably methyl; and X : anion group. Independent claims are included for: (1) a process of coloring human keratinous fiber comprising applying (I) on the keratinous fibers, leaving the fiber at rest and rinsing the fiber; and (2) a device with several compartments comprising a first compartment containing (I) and a second compartment containing (I) having an oxidizing agent. #CMT#[Image]#/CMT# #CMT#USE : #/CMT# (I) is useful for coloring human keratinous fibers, preferably hair. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# (I) makes the resulting color more visible on dark fibers and provides good uniformity of the color. (I) is stable at high oxidizing conditions. #CMT#ORGANIC CHEMISTRY : #/CMT# Preferred Composition: (I) comprises the azo dye (a) at 0.001-10 (preferably 0.05-2) wt.% and additional direct dyes (0.001-20 (preferably 0.005-10) wt.%) of (a). (I) further comprises: at least an oxidation base (0.001-20 (preferably 0.005-6) wt.%) consisting of paraphenylenediamines, bis-phenylalkylenediamines, para-aminophenol, ortho-aminophenol, heterocyclic bases and their salts; couplers of metaphenylenediamines, meta-aminophenol, meta-diphenols, naphthalene, heterocyclic couplers (0.001-20 (preferably 0.005-6) wt.%) and their salts; and an oxidizing agent consisting of hydrogen peroxide, urea peroxide, alkali metal bromates, persalts, peracids and oxidase enzymes, preferably hydrogen peroxide. #CMT#POLYMERS : #/CMT# Preferred Components: The thickening polymer (0.01-20 (preferably 0.1-5) wt.%) is associative polymer and non-associative polymer. The non-associative thickening polymer cross-linked acrylic acid homopolymer, cross-linked homopolymer of 2-acrylamido-2-methyl propane sulfonic acid and their acrylamide cross-linked copolymers, ammonium acrylate homopolymers or ammonium acrylate and acrylamide copolymers, non-ionic guar gum, microbial biopolysaccharide gums, plant exduate gums, pectins and alginates, alone or in mixtures. The associative polymer is associative polyurethane, preferably cationic or non-ionic, associative vinyllactame, associative unsaturated polyacids, associative aminoplastic ethers, cross-linked homopolymer of 2-acrylamido-2-methyl propane sulfonic acid and their acrylamide cross-linked copolymers, associative polymer or copolymers comprising at least unsaturated ethylene monomer with sulfonic group, alone or in mixtures. #CMT#EXAMPLE : #/CMT# Typical composition comprised (in g): 1-methyl-4-(2,3,6,7-tetrahydro-1H,5H-pyrido[3,2,1-ij]quinolin-9-yl-azo)-pyridinium toluene sulfonate (0.2); acrylamide/acrylamido-2-methylpropane sodium sulfonate copolymer (in inverse emulsion with 40% of isoparaffin/water) (4.5); decylpolyglucoside (9); benzylic alcohol (4); conservatives (0.06); and demineralized water (quantity sufficient to make up to 100). |
