A system for facilitating the design of body art includes a) data memory in which is stored a style library having a plurality of tattoo design styles and b) at least one processor. Each style is associated with at least one body part and each body part for each tattoo design style associated with at least one tattoo image file. The at least one processor is arranged to perform i) displaying a user interface to the style library on a display. The interface has a body template and at least one library viewer. The body template has a representation of at least one view of an anatomical form that has a combination of body parts at least some of which are below neck level. The at least one processor is further arranged to perform ii) displaying on the library viewer at least one image file for at least one tattoo design style from the style library that is associated with at least one body part that corresponds to at least one body part included in the body template; iii) receiving input from a user selecting at least one body part associated with at least one tattoo design style; and iv) refreshing the body template representation to display the image file for the selected at least one body part and at least one tattoo design style on the corresponding body part of the body template.
