COSMETIC COMPOSITION FOR PROTECTING SKIN AGING COMPRISING THE EXTRACT OF BRANCHES FROM MAGNOLIA SIEBOLDII

An extract of branches from Magnolia sieboldii is provided to promote collagen synthesis and inhibit biosynthesis of MMP-1 effectively, melanogenesis and damage of skin barrier, thereby being used as a cosmetic composition for improving skin damage caused by aging and making skin healthy. A cosmetic composition for improving skin wrinkles, whitening skin or preventing skin barrier damage comprises 0.0001-20.0 wt.% of an extract of branches from Magnolia sieboldii as an effective ingredient, wherein the extract is obtained by using an extraction solvent such as water, C1-4 alcohol, acetone, ethyl acetate and butyl acetate. Further, the cosmetic composition is used as skin, milk lotion, massage cream, essence and pack.
