The section has a parameter (S) ranges between 0.00150 and 0.01500, where S is equal to Tx m/ sigma in which T is a shearing voltage at an interface between liquid and vapor, m is thickness of a liquid film flowing on the trim and sigma is superficial voltage at liquid/vapor interface. #CMT# : #/CMT# An independent claim is also included for an instillation adapted to be used in a cryogenic separation method. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Method for cryogenic separation of gas. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The method permits to optimize separation capacity and reduce diameter of the columns for a given separation capacity, thus permitting to reduce investment costs of the columns and increase flexibility of an apparatus during starting and operation change phases.
