The tufted nonwoven material, giving a tufted surface, uses fibers which can be spliced at the rear surface of the material, together with fibers which cannot be spliced. The splicing fibers are composed of at least two incompatible polymer components. The fibers can be hollow or solid with a round and/or out-of-round cross section.
