An anti-tamper device (1) is provided for use with a nut when engaged upon a threaded shank. The device (1) has a cover (3) for location around the nut so as to prevent engagement between a tool and the nut. The device (1) has a locking member (7) adapted to prevent the removal of the cover (3) from its location around the nut. The device (1) is also provided with an anti-rotation member (5) for preventing rotation of the device (1) with respect to the shank and includes a number of protrusions on an internal surface of the cover (3), the protrusions being arranged to engage, in use, the thread of the shank so as to prevent removal of the device (1) from the shank. |
