A UV paint dust collecting apparatus and a dust collecting method using the same are provided to increase the dust collecting efficiency, fundamentally prevent factors of environmental pollution accordingly, and adsorb and remove harmful substances such as volatile organic compounds contained in UV paint dust more effectively. A UV paint dust collecting apparatus comprises: a duct for supplying UV paint dust, a blower for forcibly flowing in the UV paint dust through the duct, and an activated carbon adsorption tower that is an adsorption unit of the UV paint dust; and an electrostatic precipitator(4) linked between the blower and the activated carbon adsorption tower to collect and remove the UV paint dust in the primary form. The electrostatic precipitator comprises: installation units(41) on which a pre-treatment filter(411), an ionizer(412), a collecting electrode(413), and a post-treatment filter(414) are mounted in a sequential configuration structure; and a dust collecting body(42) in which the installation units are installed, and which has a collected material outlet formed in a bottom part thereof.
