A device for cleaning a filter cloth (13) in a rotary disc filter (1) comprises a flushing ramp (20), on which at least one spray nozzle (21) is arranged. The spray nozzle (21) is arranged to spray a opening fluid onto the filter cloth (13) in a direction opposite a filtering direction. The flushing ramp (21) has a driving device (30, 31) for moving the flushing ramp (20) along the longitudinal direction (L) of the rotary disc filter (1) during cleaning. A method of cleaning a filter cloth (13) in a rotary disc filter (1) is also described.
