PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector provided with a circuit element which is an connector with a built-in electronic component handled as like a conventional connector when assembled on a wire harness. SOLUTION: The connector 1 with the electronic component is provided with a control circuit package 6 with an IC chip mounted, an outer housing 5, and a wire holding portion 9. The outer housing 5 is provided with a hood part 10 fitted with a counterpart connector, and a control circuit package housing chamber 11 for housing the control circuit package 6. The wire holding portion 9 is provided on a back surface side of the hood part 10 of the outer housing 5. The wire holding portion 9 holds the wires 15a, 15b, 15c while longitudinal directions of the electric wires 15a, 15b, 15c connected to the control circuit package 6 are in parallel with a fitting direction K of the outer housing 5 with the mating connector.
