PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To keep a tension of an aerial line constant while absorbing elongation or shrinkage of the aerial line, realize this state only through an appropriate maintenance work optionally carried out, realize excellent durability and further avoid an occurrence of unbalanced tension caused by external factors. SOLUTION: A tension balancing device for an aerial line comprises a tension conversion pulley 2 having a first wire guide groove 6 and a diameter-changing second wire guide groove 7 formed therein, a first wire 10 wound around the first wire guide groove 6, a second wire 11 wound around the second wire guide groove 7 and a coil spring 4 for biasing an axial moving member in a direction opposition to one end of the second wire 11. The amount of elongation or shrinkage of the aerial line is absorbed through elongation or shrinkage of the coil spring 4 along with rotation of the tension conversion pulley 2.
