A film carrier tape connection apparatus and a connecting method thereof are provided to improve a processing rate of a film carrier tape by connecting stably the film carrier tape. A first film carrier tape and a second film carrier tape overlap each other on a film carrier tape plate(10). A double-sided adhesive tape supply unit supplies a double-sided adhesive tape between the first film carrier tape and the second film carrier tape to attach the first film carrier tape and the second film carrier tape to each other. Holes are formed at both sides in a width direction of the first film carrier tape and the second film carrier tape. Fixing pins(12) are formed at an upper surface of the film carrier tape plate corresponding to the holes to fix the first film carrier tape and the second film carrier tape on the film carrier tape plate.
