PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide various kinds of probes for a dental optical diagnostic apparatus, which is in a simple structure, is small-sized and is excellent in operability. SOLUTION: For the probe for the dental optical diagnostic apparatus for acquiring the optical tomographic image of a tooth part, the configuration of acquiring a diagnostic signal is an optical fiber type or various kinds of bulk types, and the probe is the one connected to a manual or articulated arm end and controlled in posture at a contact end to the tooth part, the one for transmitting the diagnostic signal wirelessly, the one provided with a linear polarizing means, the one with guide light for visual observation in contact, the one whose shape is basically cylindrical, or the one in a pistol shape, and is further provided with various kinds of outer surface covers of the probe and a mechanism for preventing shakes during diagnosing.
