The system (1) has cylinder banks attached to resonance containers (2, 3) with a group of oscillating pipes (11) assigned to cylinders. The resonance containers are connected with each other by resonance pipes (7, 8) provided with switching valves (9, 10). The oscillating pipes are attached to the cylinder banks and connected to the resonance containers. The oscillating pipes and/or the resonance pipes are arranged within the resonance containers, where the resonance pipers are curved in a U-shape.
