PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric power steering device capable of effectively discharging heat in a gear housing. SOLUTION: This electric power steering device has an electric assist mechanism using a pair of worm gears 9 constituted of a worm 3 connected to an electric motor and a worm wheel 7 engaged with the worm 3 and externally fitted to an output shaft 5. A plurality of inside heat radiating fins 23 are formed on the inner wall of a gear box 11 for storing the pair of worm gears 9.
