A carrying apparatus formed to selectively move a carried object support table (3) installed on a carrying travel body (1) to a raised position by pushing up the support table by cam rails (40) laid down in the specified district of a carrying route, wherein the holding function of the carried object support table (3) at the raised position is increased to increase safety. Locked parts (33) reciprocatingly moving in a roughly horizontal direction according to the derricking motion of crosslink mechanisms (12) and locking devices (34) for locking automatically engaged with the locked parts (33) when the carried object support table (3) is raised to a specified position are installed on the travel body (1) sides of the crosslink mechanisms (12) liftably supporting the carried object support table (3). Lock releasing cams (41) switching the locking devices (34) for locking to a lock release attitude according to the traveling of the carrying travel body (1) are installed on the cam rails at the terminal end of the specified district.
