An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) is provided to form a storage capacitor having a sufficient capacitance value without forming the first capacitor line part, which is extended parallel with a scanning line, close to the scanning line wide. A capacitor line(3b) in a VA(Vertical Alignment)-mode LCD comprises the first capacitor line part(3c), the second capacitor line part(3d), and the third capacitor line part(3e). The first capacitor line part is extended parallel with a scanning line(3a) near to the scanning line. The second capacitor line part is formed so as to be overlapped with a cutout part(7f) maintained between sub pixel electrodes(7b,7c). The third capacitor line part connects the first capacitor line part with the second capacitor line part. The first through third capacitor line parts respectively form the first through third storage capacitors(60a,60b,60c). The first through third storage capacitors form a single storage capacitor(60).
