The float comprises a first 12 and a second body 13 members. The first body member having a stem 14 projecting from it on which the second body member is adapted to slide between a first float configuration, when casting, in which the second body member is juxtaposed with the first body member, and a second configuration, in the water, in which the body member is distanced from the first body member. The float can be linked to a line by an attachment means 16 remote from the first body member. The second body member may be of greater weight than the weight of the first body member and stem combined such that the first body member is located above the second when in the water. |
