A head position control device and a medium storage device are provided to correct initial speed and current difference easily using one parameter by calculating an initial value of a correction track from output current supplied to an actuator before switching a head, and eccentric correction current and initial speed of another head after switching and supplying the correction track according to the initial value. A controller(22) controls an object(40), an actuator(1) and magnetic heads(3). An eccentric correction current table(24) stores an eccentric correction current(Urro) of each magnetic head. A track generating part(20) calculates a seek distance from target and present positions and generates a seek track based on the seek distance. The track generating part calculates initial speed and generates a relief track of the current difference from the eccentric correction current after switching the head, the initial speed, and the output current value before switching the head. The eccentric correction current is added to each head to supply current(uout) to the actuator.
