A cellular system where, in each of a plurality of cells, a base station transmits the same data to a plurality of mobile stations at a predetermined transmission rate (Multimedia Broadcast Multicast Service (MBMS)). It comprises an adjusting portion for adjusting a resource used for data transmission to make a resource consumption level equal to a predetermined threshold when the resource consumption level in the cell exceeds the predetermined threshold due to the data transmission, and a transmitting portion for performing the data transmission by using the adjusted resource. The invention provides a cellular system for transmitting data by which MBMS data is transmitted to maximise an area where MBMS data is receivable. |
