PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the insertion part of an endoscope, with which it is made possible to manufacture two curving parts and a flexible tube part at a low cost. SOLUTION: The insertion part (12) of the endoscope (10) is provided with: a first curving part (34) curving actively; a second curving part (36) disposed at the proximal end part of the first curving part and curving passively; and the flexible tube part (38) disposed at the proximal end part of the second curving part and having flexibility. The second curving part and the flexible tube part share a pipe-shaped inner layer member (52) and an outer layer member (54) having a blade or flex outside the inner layer member. The flexible tube part is provided with an outer skin (56) which is disposed outside of the outer layer member and having the outer layer member at the position of the second curving part projecting to the distal end. The first and second curving part are, on the outside thereof, provided with a common outer skin (72) which has high flexibility and low bending rigidity compared with the outer skin of the flexible tube part.
