PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a zoom microphone system that can pick up an object sound with sufficient emphasis at a telescopic position depending on a zoom position. SOLUTION: A sound pickup section 11 transduces a sound wave into a sound signal, a zoom control section 12 outputs a zoom position signal corresponding to a zoom position, a directivity control section 13 changes the directivity depending on the zoom position signal so as to pick up a sound with emphasis on a sound wave arriving mainly in a front direction to provide outputs of an R channel sound signal and an L channel sound signal at a telescopic position, and a noise suppression section 14 suppresses a background noise included in each channel sound signal at the telescopic position at a higher degree than that at a wide angle position. Thus, the zoom microphone system can pick up a sufficiently emphasized object sound at the telescopic position. |
