A cyclopentaphenanthrene-based compound is provided to ensure excellent thermal stability and hole transportation characteristic and to be used as an organic film of an organic light-emitting device, especially, a hole transport layer material. An organic compound is a cyclopentaphenanthrene-based compound represented by the chemical formula 1. In the chemical formula 1, Y is as divalent linker, substituted or unsubstituted C6~C30 arylene or substituted or unsubstituted C2~C30 heteroarylene; at least one of Ar is a substituent represented by the chemical formula 2; and the rest of identically or differently substituted or unsubstituted C6 ~ C30 aryl group.
