PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a halogen metal vapor lamp having a current lead-in part which can be worked easier than an NbZrl-pin, which, for example, which does not cause the deformation of a pin caused by the softening of the pin in a heat treatment process, and penetrates through a ceramic light-emitting tube. SOLUTION: In the halogen metal vapor lamp having a ceramic casing (2) and the current lead-in part (3) arranged in the ceramic casing (2), a glass covering part of the current lead-in part (3) is formed of a P-doped niobium alloy.
