PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drunken driving prevention unit which automatically performs the detection of alcoholic content, making it unnecessary for an occupant to do any special operations, while enabling a successive implementation of the detection at intervals during travelling, whereas exhibiting good convenience in its use and its hygienic nature, whereupon rendering it difficult to do the injustice of deceiving the identification of the person being tested and to heighten the degree of reliability of the result of the detection. SOLUTION: A vehicle is equipped with a seat-taking detecting means that detects an occupant's taking a seat, and an air-conditioning device that air-conditions the vehicle's interior. The vehicle is further equipped with a control device which controls the air-conditioning device so as to start blasting air, under the state of detecting the occupant's taking a seat by the seat-taking detecting means, when predetermined conditions including one for the start of the use of the vehicle have been fulfilled, whereupon a gas detecting means is activated to examine the ambient atmosphere of the occupants so as to determine the success or failure of the clearance of the tolerance of alcoholic content.
