PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a head-up display device capable of suppressing visual recognition of display which gives a sense of incongruity to a user and improving the display quality. SOLUTION: The head-up display device is provided with a liquid crystal display element 22 emitting display light L, a concave mirror 41 reflecting the display light L and a drive means K for rotating the concave mirror 41. The display light L reflected by the concave mirror 41 is projected into a windshield 13 having a predetermined curvature to display a virtual image, and the projection position of the virtual image with respect to the windshield 13 is changed by rotation of the concave mirror 41. The head-up display device is further provided with a control means 64 for changing the luminance of the display light L in accordance with the projection position of the virtual image.
