Method for removing arsenic from liquid solutions

The process for cleaning of arsenic-containing ground- and well water, comprises charging regeneratable arsenic -adsorbent material with arsenic containing solution, regenerating the charged arsenic adsorbent material with sodium hydroxide, optionally washing the regenerated arsenic adsorbent material, neutralizing the regenerate with hydrochloric acid or sulfuric acid, and charging iron hydroxide adsorbent materials with the neutralized regenerate. The solution contains 50-300 ppm arsenic. The pH value is adjusted to 6-6.5.
