A process for the preparation of S(-)-1,4-diaryl-4-trifluoromethyl-6-methyl-3,4-dihydropyrimidine-2(1Н)-ones involves reaction of S(+)-4-amino-4-aryl-5,5,5-trifluoropentane-2-ones with arylizocyanes, heating in aprotic solvent, heating of N-aryl-N'-[(1-aryl-3-oxo-1-trifluoromethyl)butyl]urea in acetic acid, separation of desired products.
