A gas-discharge exciplex halogen ultraviolet lamp comprises a system of electrodes and a quartz discharge tube connected through a limiting resistor to a high-voltage source and filled with mixture of inert gas and halogens vapor. A working gas mixture consists of krypton and xenon with vapor of bromine and iodine.
