摘要 A display apparatus, a driving method thereof, and an electronic apparatus are provided to minimize power consumption by setting a cathode voltage of an illumination element to a ground voltage. A display apparatus includes a pixel array unit and drivers for driving the pixel array unit(1). The pixel array unit includes scan and signal lines, and matrix typed pixels(2) at sections where the scan and signal lines cross each other. Each of the pixels includes a sampling transistor, a driving transistor, an illumination element, an auxiliary capacitor, and a capacitor. A gate of the sampling transistor is connected to a scan line, and a source and a drain thereof are connected to the signal line and a gate of the driving transistor, respectively. One of a source and a drain of the driving transistor is connected to the illumination element and the other is connected to a source voltage. The capacitor is connected between a gate and a source of the driving transistor. The auxiliary capacitor is connected between the source of the driving transistor and a ground line. The drivers include a write scanner(4) and a horizontal selector(3). The write scanner turns on the sampling transistor by outputting control signals to scan lines. The horizontal selector writes image signals through the sampling transistor by outputting image signals to signal lines.
