An image forming apparatus in which positional shift of an image can be reduced. An image forming structure, a method for attaching the image forming structure and a method for drawing out the image forming structure are also provided. An image forming apparatus (10) comprises an intermediate transfer belt (14) for conveying an developer image, a photosensitive body (52) for holding an developer image transferred to the intermediate transfer belt (14), a latent image forming member (56) for forming a latent image on the photosensitive body (52), a developing device (58) for developing the latent image formed on the photosensitive body (52), and a transfer member (50) for transferring the developer image formed on the photosensitive body (52). The photosensitive body (52) and the latent image forming member (56) are integrated as an image forming structure (48), and movement of the image forming structure (48) in the substantially horizontal direction, the substantially vertical direction, and the rotational direction is regulated by means of side plates (88, 90), bearings (53, 53), springs (100, 100), and a protrusion (118). |
