A method for providing an advertisement service by using a video call is provided to transmit advertisement contents to the portable terminal of a caller in a call processing process and output the advertisement contents until a speech path is set and the video call is performed, thereby obtaining an advertising impact without inconvenience in using a video call service. A method for providing an advertisement service by using a video call comprises the following steps of: inputting a send key(S10); checking whether a caller requests advertisement contents(S12); reading the advertisement contents(S14); transmitting the advertisement contents to a portable terminal(S16); outputting the advertisement contents on a screen(S18); checking whether a call connection message is transmitted to a switching station; releasing the output of a currently outputting advertisement message(S22); and providing a video call service through a preset speech path(S24). |
