936,436. Skylights &c.; ventilators. DEUTSCHE TAFELGLAS A.G. TETAG. Feb. 16, 1962 [Feb. 25, 1961], No. 6164/62. Classes 20 (3) and 137. A light cupola 2 is mounted in spaced relationship by spacers 4 on a ring mounting 3 and a resilient closure strip 1, Fig. 4 having grooves or notches formed by a corrugated or serrated surface on at least one side, is mounted to close the space between the cupola and mounting and so as to provide ventilating ducts between it and the mounting to the space under the cupola. The strip 1 has a channel-shaped duct 8 by which the strip is mounted along the edge of the cupola. The strip 1 may be of L-shape and may be with an upper flange depending upon the cupola having a depending or horizontal flange. In another embodiment the closure strip takes the form of a flexible annular ring 13 fixedly mounted on the internal periphery to the ring mounting 3 and bearing with its corrugated or serrated external periphery on the cupola flange 7 so that on increased external pressure the ventilation ducts 14 are decreased and on increased internal pressure the ducts are increased. An insulation covering may be interposed between the mounting 3 of the strip 1. |
