METHOD FOR VIRUS CONCENTRATION FROM LIQUID MEDIA

The invention relates to a method for concentration of viruses from liquid media. A method comprises the placing of a sorbent of hydrohel of methylsilicic acid, which has adsorbtion properties with regard to biological objects of viral nature, in sample of liquid viral-containing medium, keeping of time period from 20 minutes to 20 hours at temperature of 20 °С, followed by additional centrifugation of a sample being investigated, removal of supernatant, obtaining of a complex virus + sorbent without desalination and further elution of viruses, and a sample which is investigated, is acidified to рН = 5.0.Hydrohel of methylsilicic acid, which is placed in a sample of aqueous medium, is used in concentration of not less than 2.0 mg/ml. Proposed method provides reduction of stage number in the process of fulfillment, reduction of concentration period, allows to concentrate viruses from minimal volumes of liquid media, which provides accuracy of the method and increase percentage of virus revealing at investigation of various liquid media.
