A composition comprising carvacrol is provided to show excellent anti-obese effect with less cytotoxicity and no side effects, thereby being safely applied to a cosmetic, a pharmaceutical and a food composition. An anti-obese composition comprises 0.0001-10.0 wt.% of carvacrol as an effective ingredient. The composition is a cosmetic composition such as solution, suspension, emulsion, paste, gel, cream, lotion, powder, soap, surfactant-containing cleansing, oil, powdery foundation, emulsion foundation, wax foundation and spray or a pharmaceutical composition or a food composition.
