PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for renewal of an elevator door by which workability can be improved by use of an existing fitting arm at the time of renewal.SOLUTION: A method for renewal of an elevator in the case where fitting heights of a door panel closing gear are different before and after renewal includes: a process in which an existing door panel closing gear 6 is removed from an existing fitting arm 5 in the state that the existing fitting arm 5 which is fixed to a car frame pillar 2 and supports the existing closing gear 6 is left; and a process in which a novel door panel closing gear 10 is supported on an upper part of a height control bracket 27 of which a lower part is fixed to the existing fitting arm 5.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
